Welcome
to Holy Cross Catholic Church!
We are a Catholic and Apostolic Church, preserving the faith, worship, structure, and practice of the undivided Church, an independent community worshipping in the Catholic tradition.
We
have a democratic process where clergy and church members meet to make
decisions for the Church and a Board of Directors who oversees the management
of the parish.
Together we seek to know the reconciling love of
God and share that love with everyone.
Independent Catholicism is an expression
of sacramental faith that functions outside of the jurisdiction or permission
of Rome. As such, we welcome all God’s people to fully participate in the
sacramental life of our Church. We recognize and pray for Pope Francis as the
bishop of Rome. We believe that he has been chosen through prayer and the
inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead the Roman Catholic Church
throughout the world. However, we do not function within his jurisdiction. We
neither seek to reform nor to change the Church. Rather we provide a place at
the one great table of faith for the marginalized, and those who find
themselves outside the embrace of the Church. Jesus, the Good Shepherd himself
said, “I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also.
They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one
shepherd.” (John 10:16). We look forward to that great day of perfect
communion, and pray for its coming at every Mass.
